“Wayne is always ready to get the crowd moving and never lets his fans down. Now that’s a recipe for some good home-cooked dancing.” — Chubby Carrier, GRAMMY Award Winning Zydeco Artist

Wayne Singleton & Same Ol’ 2 Step serve up traditional and new Zydeco music with surprises like giving soul and country hits a distinct Creole flavor. This touch of nouveau Zydeco paired with traditional roots has them in great demand both locally in Louisiana and at music festivals nationwide. Says Cajun musician Jamie Bergeron, Wayne and the band “keep it old Zydeco and rooted but kick the hell out of it and keep Zydeco fresh and moving for the younger fans.”

Raised in Lewisburg, Louisiana — in the heart of Zydeco’s birthplace — band founder, lead vocalist and accordionist Wayne Singleton has been playing Zydeco music since he was seven years old. His experience through the years playing with legendary Creole artists like Beau Jocque, Zydeco Force, Keith Frank, Chris Ardoin, Sean Ardoin, and Andre Thierry has earned him status among the Zydeco elite. “High energy, great performers and the nicest young men you would ever want to work with,” adds Angelle’s at Whiskey River Landing, and put simply, Wayne Singleton & Same Ol 2 Step will make you dance!
