Seratones are a genre-defying soul-rock force from Louisiana, led by powerhouse vocalist and activist A.J. Haynes. Since forming in 2013, the band has forged a distinctive blend of rock, funk, soul, and rhythm that has lifted them from local clubs to major national and international stages.

Early on, Seratones garnered national attention with their debut Get Gone (2016), touring the U.S., opening for artists like St. Paul and The Broken Bones, and performing an NPR Tiny Desk concert that showcased their explosive energy and gospel-rooted grit. They continued to grow with Power (2019) and embarked on extensive tours across North America and beyond, playing iconic venues and festivals including South by Southwest, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, and Riot Fest.

Their latest album, Love & Algorhythms (2022, New West Records), embraces the idea that “revolution is not a one-time event,” drawing on Audre Lorde’s words to explore personal and collective transformation through rhythm, joy, and spiritual depth. Recorded with producer Paul Butler, the record fuses Black feminist thought, Afrofuturism, astrology, and ecstatic grooves to create what Haynes calls “a protest built on abundant joy.”

With each performance, Seratones urge audiences to move, reflect, and celebrate resilience. Their live shows are known for dynamic musicianship and soul-stirring connection — proof that this band’s creative revolution keeps expanding, song by song, stage by stage.
