Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Lilla is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, bandleader and producer. Her music has charted on Billboard in the US and the top 10 in the UK. She brings a new spin and vibrant combination of soul, rhythm and blues, funk, jazz and storytelling. 

Lilla has performed and worked with artists such as Michael Franti and Spearhead, Trombone Shorty, Annie Lenox, Esperanza Spaulding, Robert Randolph, Karl Denson, Eric Krasno, Talib Kweli and more. At the age of six, she taught herself to play the piano by ear. Her music has taken her all over the world, from Kingston, Jamaica to Beijing, China.
