Larry Yes is a musician and multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Portland. His new album, Everyone on This Planet Is Family, is a message of hope in a time of fear — eight songs shining the light on our shared interconnectedness as a human race. It’s a call to our collective need to live in harmony and celebrate our differences and our strengths. The message is simple: we are all one, love each other, love yourself. Love your other, love each self.
Since 1992, he has released 12 full-length albums and played shows with Elliott Smith, Donavan, Michael Hurley, Josephine Foster, Built to Spill, Jonathan Richman, John Cale, Daniel Johnston, Low, Tank and the Bangas, Victoria Williams, Sonny and the Sunsets, Money Mark, Faust, Keiji Haino, and many more.
As a visual artist, he has exhibited work at the Portland Art Museum, Portland International Airport, PDX Contemporary, and MoMA in New York City, with one piece included in its permanent collection.
