Americana singer, songwriter, and guitarist Billy Stoops combines his Grit City stories with his Derby Town roots for a performance of raw, acoustic and stripped-down original music.

The energetic and charismatic front man was named “Entertainer of the Year” and “Best Male Vocalist” by the Washington Blues Society, while his distinctive guitar style on both electric and acoustic, along with his groove-oriented songwriting, garnered him a Tacoma Music Award for “Performer of the Year.”

Billy’s latest release, Bad Decisions, the long-awaited follow-up to his acclaimed 2021 recording Wolf Moon, features Stoops’ rich, soulful vocals and poignant lyrics on 10 all-original pure-D Americana tunes. His shows also pull from his two previous albums, Dirt Angel and Little Devil, as well as select covers.

Billy Stoops will perform on the Cruisin’ to Memphis Blues Cruise on Friday, July 3.
